Who's who in Devon Health
Devon Health has a clinical team led by Dr Adrian Jacobs and Dr Mike Richards both highly experienced in delivering patient care in Devon. Full time management and operational support comes from a team that includes Lee Grant (previously at Plymouth PCT), Rachael Willett who is a registered mental health nurse (RMN) and Martin Shaw. The team also has contract management, administrative and financial support and works from its Marsh Barton offices in Exeter.

Adrian Jacobs is an experienced medical manger who has recently gone into independent consultancy. He has 20 years experience as a GP in Dawlish in Devon and was director of Primary Care for South and West Devon Health Authority for 10 years. For the last 5 years he was Director of Primary Care and Torbay Care Trust. He has a keen interest in medical politics and was Vice Chairman of Devon LMC during his time as a GP. When not at work or on the golf course he can be found in his workshop making things out of wood! |

Mike works mainly as a GP but has been involved with Devon Doctors GP out of Hours service since its inception 12 years ago, most recently as Medical Director. He is also a member of the Local Medical Committee and has worked with Primary Care Trusts in various areas including contracting, funding and performance monitoring. Mike brings a wide experience of the local NHS with a clinical and patient centred interest in services provided by Devon Health. |

Lee spent his early years in retail management across the UK with a national chain before returning to the South West in a number of sales, marketing and project management roles. He then spent 7 years at the Child Support Agency in a senior management capacity before joining the NHS for a 7 year stint as the Communications and Media manager at Plymouth Primary Care Trust. He joined Devon Doctors on secondment from the PCT in September 2006 to work as the Business Development Manager, and this became a permanent move in September 2007. Lee is now the Business Development Manager with Devon Health and has the lead responsibility for the implementation of the many projects and pieces of work that Devon Health is now involved in. |
Rachael Willett - Implementation Manager |

Rachael Willett worked as both a social worker and mental health nurse for 18 years before joining our team as Implementation Manager. Rachael will work alongside Lee Grant at the development and implementation stage of new Devon Health projects, and continue to provide support for the lifetime of the projects. Her extensive work within health and social services has led to a keen interest in advocating for high quality and accessible health and social care for vulnerable people. |

Martin joined Devon Doctors as a call operator in 2005 having just graduated from Imperial College with a degree in Physics. He quickly moved on to work in the Clinical Governance department before pioneering statistical analysis work which has since become part of the day to day running of the organisation. Martin also took the lead on the design and implementation of the successful Devon out of hours dental pilot project in 2006. He moved to Devon Health in February 2008 having returned from a 9 month sabbatical to travel the world. Martin is taking lead responsibility for some of the newer projects that Devon Health is getting involved in and is providing support for many of the other projects.

Angela started working for Devon Doctors as a call handler in August 2000. She gained experience in various roles within the Out of Hours Service during this time and was seconded to Devon Health in October 2007.Angela previously has a background in Sales and Administration/office Management and has brought this experience to the Devon Health Team. |

Alison has been part of the Devon Doctors finance team for the past five years and has been seconded to Devon Health as the Management Accountant. Before joining Devon Doctors she undertook her professional accountancy training in the Private sector. Working in Chartered Accountancy practices in Plymouth and Southampton for 10 years. |
